As a Project Manager you will be responsible for managing  construction projects.
 
Position Overview
 
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the life cycle management, financial management, administrative activities and close out of a project to ensure completion to customer requirements within set deadlines.
 
Primary Responsibilities
 
Manages all aspects of the assigned project, including production, invoicing, budget, and client relations; to ensure compliance with the project contract
Manages project procedures, processes, and reviews
Leads & organizes successful project hand-off transition: Budgets uploaded from estimating, subcontractors, purchase orders and vendor commitments
Collaborates with Superintendents to manage schedules, change orders, project procedures, and equipment resources needed to complete accurate and timely project production
Supports Superintendents with managing the project manpower and milestones for each phase of production, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of project objectives
Engages with all relevant stakeholders proactively, including business partners, general contractors, customers and regulatory bodies that will have influence over project success
Coordinates with operations team to identify project risk and negotiate change orders with relevant stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective project production
Where relevant, presents monthly project reports to the senior leadership team
Supports and promotes project safety by ensuring compliance with the project safety program and required owner safety policies. Reviews weekly safety reports and participates in monthly safety review meetings with project personnel
Reviews and approves manpower and equipment needs for efficient and effective project production
Completes month-end financial close: month-end invoicing, WIP, cost transfers, accruals, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial review etc.
Negotiates disputes and provides resolutions with the relevant stakeholders
Provides input on equipment procurement methods and contracts to ensure efficient and effective project production
Leads project closeout procedures, finalizing contract paperwork, obtaining retainages and working with management to resolve any project claims. Leads project debrief cycle

Qualifications

Strong, inherent ability and drive to negotiate terms of agreement for project work, budget and fund recovery in the project’s best interest
Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field preferred or equivalent experience
7+ years’ experience in a construction project management role with private and public works construction projects required
Demonstrated ability to take accurate field measurements, take-offs, etc.
Proficient in MS Office 365 products, internet, estimating software, etc.
Ability to read an interpret jobsite drawings, blueprints, and maps
Valid CA Driver License and good driving record
